Beverly Livingston Obituary

LIVINGSTON- Beverly (McKasick), Dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, died June 14, 2021 at home, surrounded by loving family. Born June 2, 1932, in Johnstown. Daughter of the late Herbert Kurtz and Anna McKasick. She was preceded in death by Stanley, her husband of 66 years, daughter, Wendy Melikant and son, Ross. Beverly grew up in Brownstown, loved swimming, dancing and roller skating. She was a 1950 graduate of Ferndale High School and guard on the girl's Bees basketball team. She enjoyed helping to plan and attend class reunions. Beverly started licensed practical nurse training at 36 years of age and worked at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix and at the Hiram G. Andrew's Center, where she retired. Her favorite places were the family cottage on Menoher and Lynx Lake in Arizona. Beverly was very close to her cousins, loved her large husband's family and was blessed to share her home with her mother whom she adored the last 33 years of her life. She is survived by her sons, Herbert and his partner Carol McLean of Johnstown, who provided loving care to her during her final days, Mark married to Diane Miller of South Heidelberg Township, and daughter Debra wife of John Boskovitch of Loyalhanna; son-in-law Steve Melikant; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. Friends will be received from 10:00 until time of funeral service at 11:00, Friday at First Lutheran Church. Rev. Walter Startzel, officiating.
