Clifford Donald Bush

Clifford Donald Bush 'Don', 86, born April 20, 1936, died May 23, 2022. Preceded in death by parents, Clifford M., Mary (Kovach), and loving wife, Roberta (Pender). Sadly missed by daughter, Dr. Laura (Bush), wife of Jeff Wiggins and son Dr. Donald Jeffrey Bush, husband of Amy (Garland), grandchildren Jordyn A. Koontz, Madelynn E. Bush, and step-grandchildren Jacob, Silas, Amie, Ella, Tessa, Lili, and Owen, sisters Carol (Bush) Moschgat, Donna (Bush) Bowser, sister-in-law Martha (Pender) Garland, brother-in-law Brad Mosteller and numerous nieces and nephews. Don was the best father we could ever have! He was such a kind, gentle, and compassionate soul. If you knew him…you were forever blessed. We had the greatest childhood with him carpooling us to every event imaginable. He taught us to honor our commitments with kindness and grace. Laura is alive today because of him flipping her upside down and swatting her back when she was choking on hard candy at the age of 5. He taught us how to drive a stick shift and 3 on the tree. Don was an avid sports fan and loved watching Bennie Hill…so his sense of humor was contagious! He would tell some of the dirtiest limerick's but expect us not to repeat them. He served his country proudly in the Army National Guard and the Navy. He imprinted that patriotic pride into his children. He spent his summers taking the whole neighborhood and all the cousins to the cottage in Bedford. He shuttled Jeff to endless hockey practices and games throughout the US and Canada that culminated in two state championships. His last day on earth was spent reminiscing about our good times and listening to Elvis, Pavarotti, and Frank Sinatra. He will be missed tremendously. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 1:00 P.M. at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., Pastor Jim Gay. Inurnment Grandview Cemetery.
