Daniel R. Layton

Daniel R. Layton, 63, Johnstown, died June 13, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center. Born December 19, 1957, in Johnstown, son of Seward and Doris (Coughenour) Layton. Preceded in death by father; granddaughter, Lynnea Haney; and brother-in-law, Joe Demma. Survived by mother; children, Josh Nemitz (Erica); Sonya Layton (Jesse); Daniel S. Layton (Mandy); and Sara Williams (Chris); and 8 grandchildren. Brother of Janice Lincoln (David); Beverly Demma; Frederick Layton (Joyce); and Susan Constable (Jay). Dan had a heart of gold, and was taken away too soon. He lived a great life. Friends received 4-7PM Thursday at Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills, 2503 Bedford St., where funeral service will be held Friday at 11AM with Pastor Jim Gay officiating. Masks are required by those attending. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery.
