Louise Peschock Obituary

PESCHOCK,    Louise,  89, Vinco, Passed  away  on  April  13,  2021  at Vista  Springs  Greenbriar,  Parma,  Ohio.  Born  January  19,  1932  in  Johnstown,  Daughter  of  the  late  Louis  A. and Clara (Lukasiewicz)  Salem.  Preceded  in  death by  her  wonderful  loving  husband,  Bob  “Lefty” Peschock  and  sister,  Shirley  “Babe”  Strippy.  Survived by daughter, Bobbi (Art Lawson) Parma, Ohio.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She  was  a  graduate  of  East  Conemaugh  High  School,  Class  of  1950. Her dad,  who  was  a  member  of  the  school  board,  presented his daughter  with  her  diploma-a special moment for both of them. Mom was secretary for East Conemaugh Boro after graduation. She  then  worked  at  the  Cambria  County  Court  House,  in  the  Probation Bureau, for 15 years.  Mom also worked for Bethlehem Steel in the  Rod and Wire  Mill  for  10  years  before  retiring. She  was  a  parishioner of  the  Church  of  the  Transfiguration  in  Conemaugh, a  life- long  Democrat  and  past  President  of  the  Traffic  Club. Mom  tried  to  golf,  but  it  just  wasn’t  her  thing.  She  bowled  on  a  Ladies  League  and  was  pretty  good;  but  what she really  excelled  at, was  shopping on QVC.  If they handed out trophies, mom would have won a whole shelf-full. She loved her Steelers. Her pride and joy was her Terrible Towel. Can’t you just see her waving it in the air, while cheering? My mom & daddy had a great group of longtime friends.  They enjoyed going to the Pitt Panther games and yearly trips to Myrtle Beach. Their group vacations included Hawaii, Europe, and a few cruises. Oh, the stories they would tell.  Mom  and  Daddy  visited  40  of  our 50 states  and  traveled to  Canada,  Puerto  Rico,  Dominican  Republic,  Jamaica  and  the  Panama  Canal,  too .If  you  knew  my  mom,  you  know  she  could  be  quite  a  handful;  and  didn’t hesitate  to  share  her  opinion,  whether  you  wanted  it  or  not,  Ha ha!   She was one of a kind and to know her was to love her. Mama, we’ve  been  together  almost every day since Daddy passed away. I’m  going  to  miss  you  so  much,  but  knowing  you’re  in  heaven with Baba, Papa, Aunt Babe, and Daddy, fills my heart with comfort and joy--not sadness. When you get there, give  them  a  big, big hug for me and some candy. Friends received Tuesday 4-7PM at Henderson-Makuchan Funeral Home, 434 First St., Conemaugh, where vigil for the deceased will be held.
