Mary Jane (Shaffer) Norton

Mary Jane Norton, 81, Harrisburg, formerly of Johnstown, died May 4, 2021 at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Born August 31, 1939 in Davidsville. Daughter of Alton and Bertha "Minnie" (Schatz) Shaffer. Preceded in death by parents, husband Ralph E. Norton, brothers Lee, Denny and Ed. Survived by loving children Mary Ann, Francis, with whom she resided, Debbie Cragle (Randall "Zeke" Geiser) and Eric Norton; grandchildren Joshua Cragle (LeAnn), Lauren Cragle, Eric Norton Jr., Laycee; sisters Genevieve, Shirley, Saramae; brothers Bobby, Harry and Joe. She was a former member of Beulah United Methodist Church. She was a kind lady and would do anything for anyone. She had a beautiful smile and an funny laugh. She loved her family very much and always put them first. She loved visiting her friends in Johnstown. She loved to watch hockey and football. She loved to play board and card games with her family and always loved to win. She loved the Lord and was deep in her faith. Friends will be received Saturday from 1:00pm until time of funeral service at 2:00pm, at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave.. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the 700 Club in her name. Interment Benshoff Hill Cemetery.
