Paul E. Lasagna

Paul E. Lasagna, 98, Johnstown, died July 21, 2022 at home. Born July 10, 1924, in Portland, OR, son of Nate and Louise (Pietronave) Lasagna. Preceded in death by parents; and brother Thomas. Survived by wife, Irene (Birk), whom he married February 4, 1950, and children, Robert (Lynda Kerr); Jean (Martin Ryba); Linda (Dean Black); and Kathy (Robert Woloschuk); 10 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. He was a member of Church of the Transfiguration, where he served as an usher, and was active in many church functions. He loved his family, his church and his garden. He retired from Bethlehem Steel with 36 years of service. US Navy veteran of World War II. Friends received  4-7PM Monday at Henderson-Makuchan Funeral Home, 434 First St., Conemaugh. Funeral mass will be held Tuesday at 10:30AM at Church of the Transfiguration with Father Robert C. Hall as celebrant. Committal, Richland Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Church of the Transfiguration.
